Classic games for iPhone and iMessage
You can play GameParlor two ways: turn by turn inside Messages with a friend, or pass-and-play on one device in the app.
Starting a game
In Messages
- Open a conversation in Messages.
- Tap the apps button beside the text field, then choose GameParlor from the iMessage app drawer.
- Pick a game, make your first move, and send it.
- Your opponent taps the game bubble to take their turn. The same bubble updates in place each move, so the board shows the latest position.
Play is turn by turn and asynchronous. Take your move now or hours later. There are no accounts and nothing to sign in to.
In the app
Open the GameParlor app, pick a game, and pass the phone back and forth. Both players take their turns on the same device, with nothing to set up.
Troubleshooting
I don't see GameParlor in the app drawer
In the iMessage app drawer, swipe to the end and tap the ••• (More) button, then make sure GameParlor is enabled in Edit.
The game bubble looks blank or won't load
A blank bubble usually points to a memory hiccup in the Messages extension. Close Messages and reopen it. If that fails, restart your device, and keep iOS up to date.
My opponent can't take their turn
Both players need GameParlor installed. Ask your opponent to install it from the App Store, then tap the game bubble again.
